Rigoletto Master-class con opportunita' di debutto

Festival de’ Bardi van Nederland “Vil razza dannata jaar” is more than pleased to present:

Rigoletto Masterclass.

A week of voice training and study on Verdi's masterpiece, with the opportunity to debut for the most talented participants, in Verdi's Rigoletto and, other concerts. Hosted by Istituto Italiano di Cultura, in the heart of Amsterdam. Featuring Italian tenor David Ciavarella and Teatro dell’ Opera di Roma’s vocal coach Sergio La Stella.

Active participation fee: 300 euros (50 euros application fee included)

Auditors fee: 50 euros per week                        

                      15 euros per day

Application Deadline: April 24th, 2020 (subject to availability)

As a candidate, you must have learned by heart, whichever role you've applied for, before the master-class starts.
Duration: May 18th to 22nd, 2020, from Monday to Friday, from 10:30 to 17:30.Tuition fees cover the full program. Tuition fees will not be refunded excepting in the event of the master-class being canceled. Accepted applicants will be responsible for their own travel, meals, and accommodation.  
The program will explore and perfect the characters of Verdi’s Rigoletto. 

The Master-class will include 

o Individual lessons

o Studying and practicing correct Italian pronunciation 

o Vocal technique 

o Dramatic and musical interpretation.
Participants of the master-class will attend a final concert on Friday, May 22nd, 2020.

Double cast production
Once the master-class has concluded, at the sole discretion of the artistic commission, the artistic director will assign leading and supporting roles, to carefully selected candidates, giving to the young soloists the opportunity to debut.
Additionally, the selected participants will sing in the choir during the alternative performance.

This fully costumed performances of Rigoletto will be staged with a mixed chorus and orchestra, in the major theaters of various Dutch cities from June 3rd to 9th, 2020, and will be followed by a series of concerts up to June 14th, 2020.

The selected participants must be available for the entire period of the project (from May 24th to June 14th 2020)

Accommodation from May 24th to June 14th will be provided by the organization.

Festival de' Bardi van Nederland is an international musical and cultural exchange organization. Its aim is to bring together singers, and choristers, conductors, and musicians, dancers, and actors, including students, amateurs and professionals from across the world.
